Falling into 3rd grade!

First and foremost I have thoroughly loved getting to know your children, wow, they are so smart!
This week we're are learning about the difference between realism and fantasy in reading. We are learning about the plant cycle in science. We're comparing and ordering numbers in math. And we wrote for our 1st quarter writing benchmark today, ask your child what happened to the shaking egg?!
Looking forward to leaves changing and cooler temps...come on by and see us...the door is always open!

Hello and welcome!!

The pencils are sharpened, the books are ready, the plans are set and school is starting this Wednesday! Hello, my name is Whitney Hannam and I have the privilege of being your child's teacher this year. I am super excited for the learning adventures to begin.
My hope for this website is to be an online communication journal. Our class news and updates will be posted here as well as week to week information. With your permission I would love to highlight the wonderful learning going on with your children, share pictures, quotes and thoughts! It's going to be a great year!
Thought for today..."You are your child's first teacher!"
